Today, Manta Group held a PCTO to welcome students from Altamura-Da Vinci Institute in Foggia for a special conference entitled “Mathematics gives you wings! Science meets manufacturing.”
Professor Rocco Dedda catalyzed the attention of the young minds and explained the importance of mathematics and physics by applying their principles to manufacturing concepts. Using theories and explanations from his book, 𝒅𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒂 𝒇𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒕𝒂̀, Dedda highlighted tangible applications of Ohm’s laws as well the application of statistical concepts. Throughout the event, Professor Dedda encouraged the participants to continue studying and highlighted how their education tangibly relates to modern-day manufacturing
Antonio Lafaenza, plant manager and engineer at Manta Group, spoke about the importance of Ohm’s law in the design and safety of the aircraft, as well as the importance of statistics and their application in manufacturing and design.
Michele Frisoli, the group’s CEO, underscored the importance of education and curiosity in the working world, particularly the acquisition of skills to interpret data and the drive to ask and answer critical questions.
